Hello Bison families!
Due to demand, we have one final opportunity to order a yearbook. Please see the details below on how to secure one.
Beginning Wednesday April 27th and through Friday April 29th, students can meet with Yearbook advisors in the library from 8:40-8:55am to order a yearbook. $17 cash or check (made out to BRMS) for softcover book only. No other form needed.
Orders will be submitted 9am on Friday April 29th and there will be no additional copies ordered or on hand after this time.

Mark your calendars! The last day of school will be Wednesday, May 25th, 2022.
The Sioux Falls School Board approved a recommendation at their meeting tonight to move the last day of school from Tuesday, May 24, 2022 to Wednesday, May 25, 2022 due to the one day of school missed for inclement weather in December.
Today the WHS JROTC visited all 8th grade SS classes and presented etiquette associated with respecting the flag, along with the history of the US flag, the National Anthem, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Students were given the chance to ask questions about what they learned and questions about what high school is like and how they can become involved at WHS next year. It was an engaging, interesting, and informative day for all.

There will be excellent solo and small group musical performances, music ensembles and our Cheer and Dance Team!. Adult admission for non-staff will be $5.00 and students/kids will be $3.00.

Attention Future Warriors who are enrolled for 9th grade at WHS for upcoming 2022-23 school year. WHS will be hosting an All Activities Night TONIGHT, March 22nd, 2022 from 6:00pm – 7:45pm at WHS.
This event will be for all incoming 9th-12th Grade WHS students (and their parents) interested in Athletics/Fine Arts for the 2022-2023 school year. The event will begin with a General Information session in the Main Gym from 6:00-6:20PM.
After the general session, students and parents will have the opportunity to receive additional information on WHS Activities from Activity Leaders via breakout sessions and open house format.
A few updates and reminders for our Bison families: Students will need earbuds for the South Dakota State Assessment. Our practice session is March 28th. Please ensure your child has a pair. They are available from the dollar tree or any other local store for just a few dollars.
Yearbook orders are due in just one week! Get your orders submitted by paying via Infinite campus (under optional payments) OR check/cash to pro teacher. Hardcover is $24; softcover is $17! 3.

BRMS students recently took a trip to CTE. The “Pizza, Pop, and Power Tools” field trip allowed students to listen a panel of women talking about their successes in an male dominated field. These 8th grade girls were able to use power tools, build a miniature wall framing with miniature studs, run some of the machinery, weld, and work with concrete! They even got to go bowling with an excavator! 🎳
The SFSD selected Ben Reifel Middle School for their School Spotlight. Mr. Hieronimus and Mrs. VanDrongelen shared information at the school board meeting about the exciting activities and community projects students are involved in.

8 BRMS band students just performed at MS All State Band at the Mitchell Performing Arts Center. These students auditioned and were accepted to play among the best middle school musicians in the state! We are so proud of what they’ve accomplished to get to this point in their playing! :)
