Students earned a whole school Zoom PBIS BINGO Party for earning enough tickets for good behaviors!! Way to go!! Everyone had so much fun!! Way to work hard!!

Students had a blast doing Drumfit this week in music with Mrs. Anderson!! What a fun way to release some extra energy and enjoy music!

Long lines and lots of success at School Store! Thanks for working the store 4th and 5th graders!!

We had our traditional holiday sing-a-long in family on Tuesday! Kids love belting out those tunes especially the 12 Days of Christmas when each grade gets a special verse and performs the actions! Thanks to Mrs. Anderson for accompanying on the piano!

Kids Care was on December 15 for the ACE 4th and 5th graders. They helped out at the St. Francis House, Miss Jasper's House, Ronald McDonald House, and assisted in making blankets for Project Warm Up. Volunteering is a positive way students can make a difference in their community! It is a great life skill to learn at an early age!

It was the first day of a 5 week chess tournament! Kids were excited to compete! So fun!

Last week, the 1st and 2nd graders had a vocal concert. They performed songs from Go Fish! Thanks for all of your hard work, kids, and to Mrs. Anderson, our music teacher!

Here are the High Flyers from last week! Way to be respectful, responsible, and safe! Proud of you!

Third graders were able to go back to Dow Rummel Assisted Living in December. They dropped off some snowmen and reindeer door decorations at each of the resident's doors and wished them all 'Happy Holidays!' Students then came back to the community room to sing Christmas carols and do some holiday activities with the residents! Everyone had such a fun time!

Chess Club students love to challenge each other in chess! Do you know how to play chess? Such a cool skill to learn at a young age!

K-2 Science Club had Master Sergeant from the Airforce Base come teach the kids about jet mechanics. They even got to see a jet fly over the school! How cool! Thanks to our guest for stopping by and for all of the parents who help out with Science Club!

School Store was a success again! Thanks for the support!

All the classrooms have such festive bulletin boards for the holiday season! Thank you to many of the parents who helped create or design them! We appreciate the help, volunteers! They always turn out so cute! We also have some fun artwork displayed in the halls as well!

Today is a beautiful December day, but we know it can't last forever in South Dakota! Make sure you and your student(s) know how to access Canvas for remote learning when weather that keeps kids home can be predicted in advance.

Here are the High Flyers for this week! We are proud of them for displaying qualities of respect, responsibility, and safety!

On Dec. 6th, Ashley Armstrong from SURF (Sanford Underground Research Facility in Lead) came to teach the ACE students all about what it takes to be a scientist, the experiments they are doing there at SURF, gave them virtual tours of the underground tunnels, and so much more! Kids even got to dress up in the scientists gear and ask her lots of questions! We really enjoy when she comes each year to share new things and we even got the special treat of having her daughter joins us in helping out! Miss Leloux used to coach Ashley when she was in high school so we are thankful for that connection which brought that full circle to come teach our students! So fun! Thanks for coming, Ashley!

This week in Family we had a kickoff celebration to learn about Habit 3-Put First Things First (work first, then play.) Kids focused on prioritizing their time to accomplish their goals. They can set priorities, make a schedule, and follow a plan. These 7 habits are taught throughout the year to help students build confidence, be a leader/good role model, and accomplish their goals.
