Kids have enjoyed coming back to school from break to play in the snow together! Oh what fun to play on the snow hill and build snow forts! Please remember to label your child's snow gear! Thank you!

Come check out the fun at the Snowflake Shuffle this Saturday! Free event for your family!

It's officially Musical season! I hope everyone can join us for an amazing show this spring! The kids are super excited to start learning their parts and songs so they can perform for you. Our two performances will be on March 19th at Ben Reifel Middle School. Here's the reveal video we showed the kids this afternoon to see what we will be performing!

Our students love using the technology we have received over the years through grants from the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation during Family time. They coded robots, made circuit, laser, and domino mazes. So fun!

Reminder, there is no school Wednesday through Friday this week due to Thanksgiving break! Enjoy the time off with family and friends!

Third graders earned a "10 Minute Party" for good behaviors. They choose to play the game, Ameba! They loved this fun, brain break activity! Nice work!

1st and 2nd graders did a great job singing and dancing at their "Pajama Party" concert. The 4th and 5th grade orchestra and 5th grade band also did well for their first concert of the year. Thanks for working so hard during class and following Mrs. Anderson's lead. Way to go!

Third graders visited the residents at Dow Rummel last Friday! They made turkey decor for their door for Thanksgiving. After they visited them in their rooms, they did puzzles with them! All ages love puzzles!!

Congrats to these students who were chosen as High Flyers! Way to be respectful, responsible, and safe!

Students in each grade love helping in their classroom! Every grade has a system of helpers each day or week! In first grade, they enjoy being the line leader, door holder, and pencil sharpener among other jobs! It teaches kids to be responsible! Way to go!

Education majors from USD who plan to become teachers visited our school last Friday to observe in classrooms. They even got to play outside with the kids! Thanks for stopping by!

Rain, rain, go away...kids still enjoyed recess inside playing games and activities with their friends!

Emily Anderson, our music, band, and orchestra teacher, used her $250 Replenish the Room Grant from the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation to purchase three sets of “Soft and Safe Comet Balls”. She has used these in passing, tossing, and catching singing games in every general music class she teaches. In the application, she wrote, “Students work on keeping a steady beat and matching pitch as they pass the ball, and they also work on gross and fine motor skills.” With the remaining grant dollars, she purchased pencils, markers, crayons, scissors, and clipboards so that students can complete assignments in her classroom. Way to go!

Congrats to Tanya Rausis, second grade teacher, used her $250 Replenish the Room Grant from Sioux Falls Public School Education Foundation to purchase board and card games and LEGO sets to refresh her indoor recess cupboard! Way to go!

Thank you for the donuts from the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation for our staff!
